Jewelry is a wardrobe staple that complements most outfits. Humans have used jewelry for a number of different reasons; functional, as a marker of social and personal status, a signifier of some form of affiliation, even as artistic displays.
We absolutely love jewelry and here are some of our faves;
- African jewelry: We totally love jewelry that is authentic to our culture. From the colours to shapes, we are team African jewelry. African jewelry has customarily been created from organic materials like hide, porcupine quill, bone, animal teeth, seeds, sea and land shells, wood and carved stone. The making of jewelry has evolved but most traditional materials such as shells, bone, seeds and wood are still used to date. Beads are also widely used in the making of jewlry such as the famous maasai beads.

- Dangling earrings: These complement streetwear or formal wear perfectly. Hoops are especially ideal for streetwear. From small dainty dangling earrings to oversized statement making ones, rock these pieces of jewelry that will never go out of fashion.

- Rings: They come in a variety of sizes and shapes. Rings are worn as a marker of social status and personal status besides being worn as decorative pieces.

- Necklaces: These are also worn decoratively as well as a signifier of some form of affiliation whether ethnic, religious or social such as the cross jewelry. Necklaces are also worn as an artistic display.

- Wrist Bands: These are common with many young people. They are mostly decorative and especially a carrier or symbol of personal meaning – such as love, a statement or a personal milestone. Eg an inscribed bracelet.
