“I am a worship leader, songwriter and an award-winning Kenyan Gospel artist famed for hit songs such as “Wanajua” ft. Pitson, Chovya, Kielelezo, Hapa ft. Ann Lusanji, Zaidi ft. Kay Kagiri, Umenitoshelesha and Nakupenda,” says Michael Gitari aka Mwenyehaki. Mwenyehaki was brought up in Nyandarua county and was orphaned at an early age. He is a husband, a father and a mentor.
Through his music, he has had the chance of ministering in various parts of the world including France, Switzerland, Poland, Germany, Netherlands and Belgium, Uganda and Tanzania. He has dedicated his life to pursuing his music career and businesses; Mwenyehaki Lyrics Hub, Boundless Global Empire and Mwenyehaki Live. These are platforms set to raise young fresh gifts as well as expand the kingdom of God. His story is one of hoping against hope and trusting in God to fulfill his God-given visions and dreams. His motto is ‘Restoring sanity’.
Mwenyehaki Lyrics Hub
This is an idea that started growing in the recent past. This company is meant to supply content to the entire industry. It is open for partnership with other mainstream international companies. This is a space for artists in songwriting, spoken word, poetry, talk shows and scriptwriting. It consists of digital recording studios, a live sessions studio, visuals studio, songwriting den and a fashion design hub. Mwenyehaki Lyrics Hub offers branding and image consultancy as well. The company also does advertisements and jingles.
Boundless Global Empire (B.G.E)
This initially started in 2013 as Limitless Media. The team has grown over time and has been able to reach out to several high schools and universities such as Mt Kinangop Girls, St George’s Girls, Jamhuri High School, Daystar, St Paul’s, Nazarene among others. “The vision is to make this a Christian-based organization and a foundation to empower young upcoming talents. We are hoping to eventually begin Hope Centres for the vulnerable. The artists mentored in Mwenyehaki Lyrics Hub will be the main key players in establishing this. Touring the world and establishing long-term partnerships is part of the plan,” says Mwenyehaki.
Mwenyehaki Live
This is a live concert concept that is set to reach the young generation in various campuses and high schools in Kenya. It is a platform for young gifts and talents to thrive and reach their dreams earlier. It invites collaborations with other artists and bands and stakeholders.
Having come from a humble background, Mwenyehaki’s goal is to make this world a better place through art and music. His passion to mentor young gifts is indescribable. He has risen to serve God since his youthful years.
