Reflection Sunday

Today we are taking some time to look at how far we have come. It is important to reflect on our lives every so often, to see if we are on track with our goals, our plans and most importantly if we are living the life God wants us to live. Psalm 90:12 says, “Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” It is very important to search our hearts occasionally as life is short; to live well and abundantly.  John 10:10 “…I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” Jesus died on the cross so that we can have a great life, a life full of joy, peace and victory. That’s our portion and we should claim it, speak it out loud. Time is such a precious resource and we should spend it wisely. Let us make the most of today, as the present is what we have as we plan and hope for the future.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for today. Thank you that you have great plans for me, plans for good and not for evil, to give me a future and a hope. Help me to be mindful of my living and live the authentic life that you would like me to live. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
