Happy new week! We are looking forward to this workweek and hoping to accomplish some goals by the end of it. Today, we pause and reflect on work and celebrate our wins, small and big. Doing this is a way to reward yourself and co-workers for achieving something you are proud of. It also gives you a break to recognize you have reached a goal before moving on to the next task or project. This is very important as you are able to tap yourself on the back and have the morale to move on to the next assignment. So how do you go about it? Here are our top five tips:
Treat yourself: You deserve to spoil yourself as you celebrate your win. Whatever you fancy, a spa date, lunch in a nice restaurant and even a shopping spree. Rewarding yourself for a win is very necessary; give back to yourself.
Decorate: From office decorations to placing something special on your desk, decorations bring joy and gives cheer to your space.
Verbal praise: This is one of the simplest yet most effective ways of celebrating a win. If you are a leader, let the group or individual know how you appreciate their contribution.
Financial bonus: If you are running your business or are in a managerial position, giving a monetary bonus is a great way to celebrate big wins at work. Even giving a small gift card is very meaningful.
Go to a conference/training: You can also reward your employee or yourself by attending a relevant conference. Attending a conference allows one to learn new things in one’s field and grow one’s network.

Happy Tuesday! We hope the new month is going well for you. It’s September already, unbelievable, right? Between working towards our personal and career goals, taking some time to take care of ourselves is essential. Self-care helps us take some time to slow down, enabling us to manage stress in an increasingly overstimulating world. It also boosts our self-esteem and overall well-being. Today we share some beauty ideas to practice self-care at the comfort of your home.
Make a scrub: With ingredients readily available in your kitchen, making a face scrub is super easy. Sugar or ground coffee as ingredients added to oil are excellent for making scrubs. Use the scrub to remove dead skin from your lips, face and body. Rinse off and moisturize and your skin will feel amazing!
2. Re-organize your beauty closet: Sometimes all you need is to de-clutter your space as seeing clutter around you can be draining. Take time to organize, and see if there are products and accessories that you don’t use that you can also give away. This process is also satisfying as cleaning and organizing have been linked to decreased feelings of anxiety.
3. Try new skincare products: Self-care is also about trying new things and stepping out of your comfort zone. If you feel like you want to try out a new moisturizer, why not go for it?
4. Clean your makeup brushes: Cleaning your makeup brushes helps get rid of bacteria and caked makeup. This can make a huge difference to your skin especially if it is sensitive.
5. Use hand cream more often: A little pampering goes a long way. Our hands can get dry and rough, between washing up and everyday routines. A nourishing hand cream replenishes the skin making it moisturized and soft.
